A Time Bank is a mutual credit system that brought abundance to my life and opportunities to try new things at no cost, such as Spanish lessons – designed in a way that works best for all involved. It is a group of community members who trade services with each other as a pay it forward system. Trade a haircut for garden help from another person in the time bank. Simple, effective, doesn’t cost anything and building relationships with trust. Every hour is given credit. Everyone is valued. This way of trade ties us closer to our local resources and each other. This interactive workshop will go into the ecology of time banks, how it works, examples, ways to get involved or adapt for you own way of being, and draw us closer by learning about each other’s value and skills that can bring pleasant surprises!
