GALACTRONIC
Womping odd-meter, just intonation, nested rhythmic figures, and breathing electronics, Galactronic weaves in the magic of the Hang with the grit of the California underground electronic scene. The Result: Dance music like you’ve never heard before, healing and weaving into your DNA eternal truths through the interplay of frequencies and rhythms.
Galactronic consists of sweet electronic frequencies incorporating organic instruments and world sounds pushing deep grooves. Yogi, a percussive musician focusing on the Hang, a new instrument hailing from Switzerland, has a deep understanding and ability to unify primal rhythmic figures with haunting melodies. Itom, an electronic music artist bounding across genres, compliments the duo with his immaculate attention to sonic detail and space. Galactronic allows for improvisation with the created crystalline form to create a dance experience of ecstatic singularity.
As a live show, Yogi plays a variety of instruments while Itom mixes up their original compositions to paint a lyrical poem of emotive power. A joyful ride through melody and groove, Galactronic generates and endless foundation of musical hooks and trampolines.
