TEN THOUSAND VISIONS
When I was asked to create a painting that would commemorate this very special event, I spent a lot of time thinking about the symbolism of eclipses and how one might relate to them on a deeper level. Eclipses are rare moments that can help remind us of this dance we are a part of - the dance of planets and stars, solar systems and galaxies, time and space. Eclipses can also act as a reminder of what it is to block out the light of the sun. In the same way that the moon eclipses the sun, our own beliefs can eclipse the light of truth. Take a moment to reflect on that: our belief systems are to the Truth as the moon is to the sun. I am honored to be able to share this painting and this experience with this diverse and wonderful tribe.
